Oxbridge Saturday School
Top university thinking level during A-level/IB studies alongside an international student community.

Oxbridge Saturday School is an online course of 24 hours made up of 16 sessions, each 1.5 hours in duration. Students from across the world will be connected in one classroom to develop their critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and independent learning skills.

The course is made up of 4 modules, each designed to improve a skill that can improve school grades and prepare for university, career and adult life.

For IGSCE Students
Modules, Start Dates & Holidays

Each module consists of 4 sessions, run on 4 consecutive Saturdays (listed below). At the end of each module, students have a break of one Saturday before the next module begins. Students are encouraged to consolidate their notes in these weeks.

The Activities

The 4th session of every module is an interactive activity where students will apply the skills they have learnt in a fun scenario. Activities are indicated by a trophy icon in the course timetable.

The Strands

Choose one of 3 strands to enroll on: Humanities, Biosciences & Medicine, or Maths-based Subjects. Any one strand has 4 modules and students receive strategic advice on university preparation, creating a UCAS personal statement and course choice.

MODULE 1: LEARNING FRAMEWORKS
Learn key skills about essay writing, communication, research and structure. Become an expert in the REAL, PESC, DISC PEREL & OPVL methods to drive your success.

MODULE 2: THINKING SKILLS
Debate the solutions to open-ended questions where there are no right answers and learn how to compare and contrast information at the highest level.

MODULE 3: UNIVERSITY PREPARATION
Brainstorm and produce a first draft of your personal statement, explore course choices and see the unique features offered by famous universities with expert advice.

MODULE 4: APPLYING KNOWLEDGE
Prepare for interview scenarios, discover how to talk about your subject passions in detail and produce written work on topics of personal academic interest.

Age Ranges and Requirements

The (I)GCSE Saturday School is for students aged 13-15.

The A level/IB Saturday School is for students aged 16-18.

The course is delivered entirely in English. Students will be asked to indicate their English level and it is recommended that students have a minimum level of CEFR B2 (IELTS 6).

The course is also recommended for fluent English speakers.

There is a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 12 students per course group.

Students are expected to use headphones for each class to avoid audio feedback and delay for other students. It is recommended that students use a laptop or tablet so they can type.
