Wider World Maths
The Wider World Maths Course will show young learners how the mathematical concepts they learn at school are applied in the real world. In interactive, activity-based sessions, an Oxbridge-educated tutor will bring maths revision to life by showing its use in careers ranging from NASA scientists and Formula One engineers to the programmers at Google. At the end of the week, learners will present their own creative use of maths for the chance to win a prize.
Session detail
Understand how mathematical concepts work in the real world rather than on an exam paper, from industries such as NASA to the Stock Exchange.
